mycology-the magic of mushrooms

I have recently started reading the John Allegro book called ‘The mushroom and the cross’ i have wanted to get round to reading this for years. So far this is a highly interesting book, speaking about mushroom use evident back to ancient Sumeria.

We are keen Mycology enthusiasts, we live in a part of England where you get to see some fantastic mushy specimens which we will upload a slide show of soon, we have picked many turkey tail mushrooms , they love fallen logs, so we find them in the woods here, they are great for a energy boost and they are great for helping reduce tumors shrink eradicate cancer.

We find the classic Alice in wonderland mushroom here too called fly argarics. some are truly Huge specimens !! lots of mushroom species enjoy the natural environment around here in the beautiful north of England

we believe when you pick mushrooms that you should not pick them all, or else they wont grow so well the following year. leave some behind, some people really do forget this rule of respect, never take all.

Native Americans would leave some or scatter the seeds when they take from nature too..
